The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top organization that has an opening for a remote Product Designer.

100% Remote
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm PST
Pay Rate Range: $40 - $55/hour W2, based on experience
Duration: 3 months contract

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. Minimum 5 years Experience in Figma: Proficiency in using Figma, including creating components and design system documentation
2. Minimum 1 years Experience Designing for Search Engines
3. Minimum 2 years experience with Desktop and Mobile Design Experience, working on both desktop and mobile platforms.


Job Description

This role is for someone with strong design abilities, typographic skills, digital expertise, and acute attention to detail. You are a highly motivated, self-directed team player who works well under pressure and can thrive in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment. Development of visual design concepts referencing our visual system and interface guidelines and sharing those with the visual system designers. You are also capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. You are a great creator, collaborator, and communicator.
 

Responsibilities
• Designs user interfaces for web, software, and/or hardware products.
• Writes functionality design specifications.
• Design and implement prototypes, mock ups, task analysis, usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams.
• Generates design ideas; presents and sells designs to product group.
• Understands customer needs and motivations and integrates them into product design to contribute to user features and functionality.
• Acts as consultant to other team leads and may manage external production and design resources.
• Attending team meetings from creating initial concepts, through to project completion, and reviewing of work.

Qualifications
• 5+ years work related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required.
• Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas required.
• Experience creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams is required.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (i.e. HTML and CSS).
• Proficiency in current and emerging web technologies and standard design software packages (i.e. Figma)
• Strong knowledge or experience with database served websites. Experience working with rich client or web applications is a plus.
• Must have the ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality. Must be familiar with industry standards and trends.
• Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
• Must have ability to own and drive projects.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
