  • This role includes providing support and oversite for ABA patients and teammates within their clinical supervisor team (pod) across diverse settings.

We are a rapidly growing healthcare company pioneering the most effective treatment methods for children with neurodevelopmental differences. Our mission is to design and deliver life-changing care – one child, one family, one community at a time. Ultimately, we envision a world that cultivates the full potential of every child. At Cortica, every team member is instrumental in helping us achieve our mission

Our culture and values guide how we work and treat one another. Cortica celebrates diversity and fosters an inclusive environment, seeking ideas and opinions from everyone on the team. We safeguard equal rights and respect for all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, creed, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ancestry, veteran status or other applicable, legally protected characteristics. All Cortica employment decisions are made based on an individual's qualifications and ability to successfully perform the job responsibilities.

What will you do?

  • Complete a variety of clinical assessments and treatment plans following Cortica's clinical model as well as BACB, licensing board, state and federal law, and insurance company guidelines.
  • Provide direct clinical and supervisory support to ABA patients as well as parent training services across a variety of settings (in-home, in center, community, school, telehealth, etc.) in accordance with the patient treatment plans.
  • Provide support, supervision, and oversight to the other teammates within pod (e.g., Behavior Interventionists (BIs), Assistant ABA Supervisors (at sites utilizing a 3-tier supervision model), and Lead BIs (where applicable)).
  • Manage direct reports by setting clear goals, develop and monitor progress on individual development plans, provide regular feedback and coaching, conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide monthly supervision to all RBT's and/or BCATs in pod, completing paperwork and supervising at least 5% of hours in 1:1 and/or group supervision experiences.
  • Mentor and train new BIs, which may include assisting with training tasks as needed, including measuring clinical fidelity in the field.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to supervisees collecting BCBA supervision hours.
  • Provide supervision for each direct report following Cortica's minimum meeting cadence guidelines, including regular 1:1 meetings and ad-hoc meetings, as needed.
  • Mentor and train new Assistant Supervisors (3-tier only), which may include assisting with training tasks as needed, including measuring clinical fidelity in the field.
  • Administer various clinical tests, rating scales, and assessments as clinically indicated and/or required by funding source (e.g., Vineland-3, ABAS-3, FAST, VB-MAPP, PDDBI, ADOS, PSI-4, etc.).
  • Ensure quality clinical care, meeting all minimum supervisory and parent training hours and maintaining productivity expectations.
  • Schedule in such a way to meet the required billable hour expectation for the role by the assigned due date, meeting with direct supervisor regularly to review scheduled hours and ensure optimization of all supervision and parent training hours for the patients on caseload.
  • Assist in new hire training and onboarding and ensure completion of employment requirements for direct reports following assigned timelines for new reports.
  • Participate in monthly quality assurance activities including meetings and phone interviews with clients, parents/guardians, and case managers.
  • Be available to clinical staff during office operating hours daily to assist with crisis intervention.
  • Participate in site management and/or staff meetings as well as department trainings and workshops, which may also include leading some meetings.
  • Recommend, prepare, and facilitate trainings as necessary to assist staff in better meeting the needs of clients.
  • Assist with client record audits, as needed.
  • Complete session notes and "convert" billable appointments within Central Reach during the billable session time. For times when client safety requires the note to be completed outside of the session time, notes will be completed and appointments converted by the end of the workday.
  • Oversee and review all Behavior Interventionist and/or Assistant Supervisors (2-tier regions) documentation, including auditing session notes that are in POD and/or assigned to direct cases.
  • Monitor and update programming aspects of each client's clinical case and update the team accordingly.
  • Organize and analyze data for progress report writing, which may include collaborating with an Assistant Supervisor to complete the report.
  • Participate in insurance authorization reviews with support from your direct supervisor or other ABA team leadership, as needed.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have a master's or doctoral degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • You hold a current and unrestricted board certification to practice as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • You hold a current and unrestricted licensure as a behavior analyst within your state of practice when required by state law.
  • You can obtain and maintain licensure in other states where Cortica operates, as requested, to support the growth and development of Cortica services.
  • You are Quality Behavioral Solutions (QBS) Certified.
  • You have a Safety Care Certification (sections 1-5 and sections 6-7 as needed per payer requirements).
