Job Description:

  • Source and purchase material components while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships, manage purchase orders, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Stay updated on market trends and pricing for informed purchasing decisions.
  • Oversee inventory levels to meet production and customer demands while minimizing excess stock.
  • Implement procedures to optimize stock levels and prevent stockouts.
  • Conduct periodic audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with teams to forecast demand for components.
  • Use data and trends to adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Develop forecasting models for improved inventory planning.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners for efficient delivery of components.
  • Monitor incoming shipments for timely receipt.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes.
  • Work with quality control teams to ensure compliance with received materials.
  • Establish inspection standards and collaborate with suppliers on quality issues.

 

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is required; a business degree or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Familiarity with supply chain best practices and experience with Traverse or inventory systems is a plus.
