Job Summary:

The Lead Security Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations of the organization to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical data and systems. This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide the security team, analyze potential threats, and implement security measures to protect against cyberattacks. The Lead Security Analyst will work closely with IT, compliance, and executive teams to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures while also responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the security team in daily operations, providing mentorship, support, and strategic direction.
  • Manage and monitor all security tools and processes to detect, analyze, and respond to security threats in real time.
  • Oversee the incident response process, ensuring that security incidents are efficiently identified, contained, and resolved, with proper reporting to stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, coordinating with other departments to remediate any findings
  • Perform risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies to reduce risk exposure.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Partner with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on security practices, and provide expert advice on cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
  • Conduct regular security awareness training programs for staff to ensure they are informed of cybersecurity risks and best practices.
  • Create detailed reports for leadership on security metrics, incidents, and improvements, and present security trends and strategies to upper management.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory developments to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or senior-level role.
  • Proven expertise in security operations, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Hands-on experience with incident response and mitigation, along with the ability to communicate complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with network protocols, security infrastructure, and cloud security frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
  • Knowledge of advanced threat detection techniques, forensics, and malware analysis.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
