Job DescriptionJob Description

For the new 2025 semester, TES Staffing is hiring floating food service crew members atone of the largest universities in Rochester, NY. We're looking for candidates that would like to start in January and enjoy variety in the work day. Employees will be asked to do various positions in the kitchen including cooking, dishwashing, prep, and customer service.

This position is a contract to potential hire role. Permanent status includes full benefits; 401K, tuition reimbursement, fully paid healthcare through the employer, opportunity to join a union, and more.

Pay Rate:$16.50/hr
Scheduling: Mostly per diem, open from 6am-1am. FLEXIBLE HOURS
Bus friendly location

Responsibilities of this position:

  • Follow food safety and sanitation requirements

  • Serve and replenish food for students

  • Scratch cooking and reading basic recipes

  • Assisting in dish room, clearing tables and lobby

  • Customer service, assisting students with dietary needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum1 year of recent food industry experience

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must be reliable and punctual

  • Team player and self-motivated

  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow instructions

  • ServSafe certification a plus, but not required
