Position Summary:

The Live Event Media Manager will work under the guidance of Director of Digital and Social Media to lead the execution of LakePoint Live streaming during events. This will include working with SportsEngine Play's scheduling platform, and event operators to input schedules, and promoting events in conjunction with the marketing department and social team.

Secondarily, the position will create content for social media and the web to highlight the events on campus and drive brand awareness, engagement and relevance (nationally, regionally and locally). This position will require an individual with a strong passion and an understanding of youth sports, as well as a grasp of content creating for social media, graphics, digital video, web editing and writing. The ideal candidate must have a competitive spirit and a winning attitude, a team orientation, effective communication and people skills.

Scope of Work:

Being on-site during events streaming from Champions Center

Verifying during events that cameras are operational and streams are running properly on SportsEngine platform

Updating streaming schedule for any on-site delays or game cancelations

Aiding third-parties and LP-owned tournament operators with additional schedule needs once event begins

Working with SportsEngine support and LakePoint IT for any camera malfunctions

Directing customers to streaming platform should they have problems accessing, and putting in contact with SE support for technical issues or payment problems

Projects/Deliverables:

• Photos and videos from events

• Highlight packages

Qualifications:

• Production or communications and/or prior media or sports experience preferred

• Experience editing video (i.e. Premiere Pro, After Effects) and photos (Photoshop)

• Wide-ranging knowledge of sports


Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics for this position is a typical office setting with the expectation to attend events within the complex and community.

Hours:

Regular attendance is a necessary job function required for this position. Typical business hours are anticipated with various attendance hours expected at events which depends on the season, program, or event. Some weekend work will be required.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle and operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
