Owl Labs is looking to fill a six month contract position within our Technology Operations team from January - June 2025. We are looking for an individual that is tech-savvy, collaborative, and eager to dive into the world of information technology.

We are open to co-ops/interns. Please note that candidates must be able to commit to 40 hours/week with 2 days/week in our Boston or Somerville office space between January - June 2025.

For the right hire and fit, there is willingness to explore full time employment at the end of the contract.

We offer free lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with folks across the organization.
  • Configure real world hybrid office hardware configurations.
  • Became an expert on our in-room conferencing configurations.
  • Skill up to working knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting office networks.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on various projects and technology rollouts.
  • Participate in product demos and ensure the in-room hardware and software are performing optimally.
  • Provide technical support to staff and assist with IT-related queries.
  • Document processes and solutions for future reference.
  • Lean into desired areas of interest and learn by doing: (e.g. project management, hardware support, data analytics, python programming, system administration, support enablement, automated workflows, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a degree in) Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of tech troubleshooting.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability/willingness to crawl under desks, handle office equipment, and occasionally carry boxes or devices throughout the office.

Nice to have's:

  • Experience or knowledge of Zoom platform and its services, Slack, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.
