Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Teach introductory level courses in electric vehicle technology, with flexibility to teach outside one's degree area.
  • Hold regular office hours to provide guidance and support to students.
  • Participate in departmental curriculum development and review course curricula as needed.
  • Contribute to student learning outcome assessment and college-wide initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and goal setting.
  • Respond to administrative requests in a timely manner and complete all responsibilities effectively.
  • Evaluate student achievement and provide regular feedback, maintaining accurate records in the Canvas Learning Management System and J1 faculty portal.
  • Provide adequate support to students and maintain a respectful, professional rapport.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching practices, including preparation, meeting course goals, organization, and presentation of material, student involvement, and classroom management.
  • Meet departmental needs as outlined by the chair.

Requirements

An Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Per Year

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess an Associate Degree from a recognized college or university and a Certified License to practice in the subject area. At least five years of industry experience in the automotive field is also required. Preferred qualifications include one year of teaching experience and five years of industry experience.
