As a Product Manager at AEM, Inc., you will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of our specialized electronic components product lines, including high-reliability circuit protection, power conditioning, and radio frequency components. This role demands a deep understanding of electronic components, their applications, and the industries we serve—particularly Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, and Electric Vehicles. You will be the key interface between the market and our internal teams, ensuring that customer needs and market trends are translated into precise product requirements. Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the electronic components industry. Define product positioning and value propositions that resonate with our target markets.

  • Product Development: Translate customer needs and market requirements into detailed product specifications specific to electronic components. Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams to ensure product development aligns with market demands and technical standards.

  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of electronic components from concept to end-of-life, including monitoring product performance and implementing improvements based on analytics and customer feedback. Plan and manage product phase-outs and transitions to minimize disruptions to the market.

  • Pricing Optimization: Develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness of AEM’s products and solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Market and Customer Analysis: Conduct targeted research to gather insights into the needs of industries relying on high-reliability components, such as Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, and Electric Vehicles. Engage with key customers to understand their technical requirements and gather feedback for continuous product improvement.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate the product vision, strategy, and performance to stakeholders, including executives, cross-functional teams, and key customers within the electronic components industry.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and effective go-to-market strategies. Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure product availability, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Product Launches: Plan and execute product launches tailored to the electronic components market, including developing launch plans, training sales teams, and creating technical marketing collateral. Monitor launch success and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Performance Tracking: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the success of AEM’s products and solutions. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

  • Innovation and Improvement: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies within the electronic components space. Continuously seek out opportunities for product innovation and improvement.

Key Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Able to see and communicate the “big picture” in an inspiring way.

  • Market Insight: Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

  • Technical Proficiency: Solid technical knowledge of electronic components and their applications.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present data and insights clearly to various audiences.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams.

  • Analytical Skills: Able to structure and process data and draw insightful conclusions.

  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams; fosters teamwork and cooperation.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
