About this Opportunity:

If you live and breathe digital marketing, we want to talk to you. We are looking for a Digital Content Strategist to develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels.

Responsibilities include enriching our website, social media posts, email and marketing copy, conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. By incorporating a storytelling perspective of talking to, about and celebrating the First Responder community you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

What Will You Do?

  • Design, create, maintain and schedule social media content, engage on social media, making comments, sending DMs to our customers and partners, networks and building followers
  • Focus on customer/vendor photos/videos/reviews and finding creative ways to feature them on our page
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Prepare well-structured marketing materials and email content, working with design team for imaging
  • Proofread and edit marketing materials before print and/or production
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Conduct research on any given topic
  • Write engaging content/copy as needed for newsletters, whitepapers, presentations, blogs, case studies, video scripts, infographics and other assets to promote products, services & brand identity
  • Identify gaps in content and recommending new topics
  • Edit content to ensure voice, grammar and style are on point, along with all-around necessary style, fonts, images and tone
  • Stay up to date on industry trends to support content development
  • Collaborate with vendor partners
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging, branding and style
  • Monitor the competition’s online activities

Who Are You?

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing
  • 2-3 years of proven work experience in digital marketing, must have previous editing experience or strong internship experience
  • Portfolio of published articles, blog posts, social media posts
  • Experience doing research using multiple sources
  • Broad knowledge of existing and emerging social platforms i.e LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram,
  • Interest, experience or strong connection to First Responder or Military community desirable
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and handle many projects at once
  • Excellent organizational skills and sense of urgency
