We are for a Web Developer to join our team

Person will be responsible for developing custom responsive Wordpress websites. You will be part of our small team of designers and developers who work directly with clients. You will be collaborating and defining how our clients' websites look and behave, building valuable products for users that are engaging and accessible.

Skills:

  • Expertise in responsive design
  • Expertise in custom Wordpress theme development
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Be extremely detail oriented
  • Provide recommendations for new features
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadline constraints
  • Comfortable collaborating with teammates as well as managing a project on their own
  • Challenging oneself, the team, and the company to constantly improve
  • Knowledge of theme/app development in Shopify a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting user research to understand issues across the UI and prioritize which areas to focus on
  • Design, develop, and maintain websites
  • Maintaining a design system
  • Must be able to develop themes that are accessible and WCAG complaint
  • Adhere to web standards and maintain website optimization (content optimization, image optimization, etc.) for accessibility
  • Maintain HTML, CMS or eCommerce (Shopify, WooCommerce) websites
  • Keep up-to-date on web development standards and trends

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of experience at a digital marketing agency, web design agency, or related field
  • Must have relevant portfolio to demonstrate design and development skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Interface Design or related design field
  • Expertise in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, Sigma)
  • Thorough knowledge of HTML5, SCSS, Javascript, PHP, and other related languages
  • Proficient with Wordpress CMS environment
  • Knowledge of Shopify a plus
  • Knowledge of Squarespace a plus
