Sr. Instructional Designer

This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) and the successful candidate must be within commutable distance to Montvale, New Jersey.
Bring your love of all things training development As the eLearning Developer & Instructional Designer you play a critical role in influencing the learning and development of products that represent the company’s brand. In this role you are responsible for partnering with marketing and sales to create eLearning, in-person, and virtual training materials. This position focuses on training the company’s portfolio of products to sales reps and independent retailers.
Key Responsibilities
· Create trusted partnerships with key stakeholders across the business to understand their unique challenges and tailor learning solutions accordingly.
· Conduct assessments to systematically identify training and development needs for both internal and external customers.
· Develop comprehensive training strategies that efficiently and effectively address customer needs, ensuring adherence to premium standards across all solutions.
· Construct and manage detailed project plans, engaging key stakeholders, establishing review milestones, and integrating change and implementation strategies to achieve project goals.
· Design detailed course materials, including course outlines, facilitator guides, and job aids, that enhance the learning experience and support instructional goals.
· Design and develop digital instructional materials such as videos, interactive simulations, and quizzes using tools like Camtasia and Articulate Storyline 360, for both instructor-led and self-paced eLearning environments.
· Facilitate the review and approval process of training documentation and e-learning content to ensure alignment with learning objectives and stakeholder expectations.
· Enhance and promote the effectiveness of training content, actively market the offerings of the training department, and stay abreast of and implement cutting-edge instructional design methods.
· Stay updated with the latest trends in eLearning technology and instructional design to implement innovative solutions that enhance learning experiences.
Required Knowledge:
- Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in instructional design, with a significant focus on product training and adult learning methodologies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in eLearning tools such as Camtasia, Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, and graphic design tools like Photoshop. Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher).
- Instructional Design: Strong knowledge of and ability to apply instructional design theories, practices, and methodologies.
- Metrics Development: Experience in developing and analyzing success metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and impact.
- Learning Management Systems: Deep understanding of LMS architecture and functionality, with a preference for experience in deploying SuccessFactors.
- Mobile Learning: Knowledge of mobile learning design and development best practices.
Additional Skills
- Accessibility and Inclusivity: Knowledge of accessibility standards and experience designing inclusive learning experiences that cater to a diverse audience.
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with the latest eLearning technologies, including AI-driven learning tools, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR) to enhance interactive learning experiences.
- Data Analytics: Ability to use analytics tools to gather insights from training data to inform strategic decisions and improve learning outcomes.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee eLearning development projects from conception through to deployment.
- Change Management: Experience in managing change and integrating new learning technologies and methodologies within an organization.
- Creative Problem Solving: Ability to creatively solve problems and innovate within the scope of eLearning development and delivery.
