Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee high volume retail operations processing and shipping over 20,000 orders a month, at the north Dallas location. The ideal candidate will possess active pharmacist licenses in multiple states, enabling them to manage regulatory compliance across a nationwide pharmacy footprint. As the Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of the retail operations while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Knowledge of both sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques, formulations, and compliance will be a plus. This pharmacist will be comfortable writing clinical content and will demonstrate constant curiosity to learn new formulations and keep up with industry trends and regulatory changes. Must be comfortable leading a team of over 15 pharmacists and 50 technicians.

This position is required to be available during pharmacy operating hours weekdays and rotating Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

· Oversee day-to-day operations of all aspects of a high volume pharmacy ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

· Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize compounding processes and workflow efficiency.

· Manage inventory levels and procurement of retail medications, compounding chemicals and supplies.

· Manage all vendor relationships necessary for pharmacy operations and compliance

Staff Management:

· Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.

· Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacists ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines.

· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to support their professional development.

Quality Assurance:

· Ensure compliance with USP 800, 797 and 795 compliances and regulations established by the FDA, DEA, USP, and state boards of pharmacy.

· Investigate and address any quality-related issues or customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.

Regulatory Compliance:

· Maintain active pharmacist licenses in all states where the pharmacy operates, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations and licensing requirements.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits, coordinating responses and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Customer Service:

· Collaborate with healthcare providers to meet the medication needs of patients through customized compounding solutions.

· Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional service and building positive relationships with patients and prescribers.

· Develop and implement patient counseling and education programs to promote safe and effective use of compounded medications.

Qualifications:

· Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.

· Active pharmacist license in good standing in Texas

· Aptitude to obtain 10 plus licenses in a short duration preferred

· Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in community retail, mail order, specialty pharmacy etc.

· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively in a dynamic environment.

· Proficiency in pharmacy software systems

· Ability to supervise and train pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacist interns.

· Proficiency in communicating with mid-level providers and experience in collaborative practice agreement with physicians.

· Experience in multi-tasking and organizational ability

· Must clear background and drug test

Skills:

· Ability to take initiative and be self-driven while being adaptable to changes in pharmacy procedures. Capability of finding solutions for complicated compounding issues
