Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to Havana Kitchen Coffee & Tea specifications. Line cook duties will consist of assisting with all back of house daily tasks. A successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Quality and consistency is key to this position. You must be able to read and follow our recipes accurately every day. This is a fast-paced environment and you must be prepared to work hard, but have fun

You will also be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.

 

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, appetizers, and sides
• Plating prepared foods based on Chef’s guidance
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
• Cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Aptitude for multi-tasking.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.

Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.
