Title: Healthcare Architect

Location: Fully Remote (~1x/Month Travel - Must be a resident in Midwest)

 

Job Summary:

As a Healthcare Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of healthcare facilities. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your expertise in healthcare design and construction will be essential in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the unique needs of patients, staff, and visitors.

As a Healthcare Architect, you will use your expertise in healthcare design and construction to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the unique needs of patients, staff, and visitors. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will use your project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that healthcare facilities comply with all relevant regulations and standards. Your proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software will be essential in developing and presenting design proposals, including detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and ensure that their needs are met throughout the design and construction process.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Design and oversee the construction of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and medical offices.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Develop and present design proposals, including detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure that healthcare facilities comply with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to safety, accessibility, and infection control.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in healthcare design and construction.

Education & Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare design and construction.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Competencies & Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Experience working with LEED and other sustainable design standards.
  • Experience with BIM software.
  • Experience working with healthcare providers and/or medical equipment vendors.
  • Professional licensure as an architect.
