Regional Sales Engineer - MI, IN, OH, IL, WI

We seek a competent Regional Sales Engineer to find business opportunities and manage existing customer relationships. The RSE will be directly responsible for preserving and expanding our customer base in the Midwest. In addition to finding new opportunities, the territory encompasses an extremely important existing customer base, and this individual must build and maintain strong relationships with these customers.

The ideal candidate will have talent in sales and a proven track record in capital equipment sales. We expect the Regional Sales Engineer to be a reliable professional capable of achieving a balance between customer orientation and a results-driven approach.

The goal is to find opportunities and turn them into long-term profitable relationships based on trust and mutual satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:

· Will require travel at least every other week 

· Minimum of 15 in-person meetings per month

· Developing a solid and trusting relationship between major key customers and our company

· Unearth new sales opportunities through the existing account base and turn them into long-term partnerships

· Responsive to customer inquiries

· Provide quotes/proposals per customer specifications and needs

· Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a customer to securing a deal

· Interact with engineering to develop machine design concepts

· Work with engineering staff when orders have been commissioned to ensure the timely delivery of equipment.

· Work hand-in-hand with Customer Service team to provide professional after-sales support

· Track all day-to-day sales activity in CRM

· Create detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas

Requirements:

· Experience managing a territory with a proven track record

· Powerful desire to succeed, sense of urgency

· Strong negotiation skills

· Experience in capital equipment sales/ Mechanical aptitude

· Knowledge of how to manage CRM software (Salesforce)

· Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and listening skills

· Organizational and time-management skills

· Enthusiastic and passionate
