What You’ll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients achieve their health and mobility goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Implement care plans designed by providers and physical therapists to restore function and improve quality of life.
- Education and Support: Instruct patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and techniques with clarity and compassion.
- Personalized Interventions: Recommend adjustments to treatment plans to ensure patient safety, progress, and comfort.
- Functional Training: Apply evidence-based practices to reduce symptoms, prevent injury, and optimize patient outcomes.
- Data Collection: Measure and document patient progress in their medical records accurately.
- Ethics and Standards: Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards in all patient interactions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting (PTA).
- Licensure: Active license or relevant certification to practice as a PTA.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, including hands-on work with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of physiology and best practices in physical therapy.
- Strong ability to communicate and instruct effectively.
- Proficiency in healthcare administration and documentation.
- Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Physical ability to lift 40+ lbs. and assist patients as needed.
