Manufacturing Equipment Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team at Johnson & Johnson. This role will support the Joints Tech Ops team within DePuy Synthes and focus on installation, maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing equipment, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, complete, and coordinate maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform installation, setups, and changeovers of machinery.
- Test and adjust as needed.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Update required documentation, including maintenance and repair logs.
- Prepare trouble reports for malfunctioning equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Apply safety procedures to all work.
- Order parts and supplies in accordance with department procedures.
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level.
- Perform other duties assigned as needed.
- Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates degree.
- 4-6 years of work experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Related equipment maintenance experience and/or training.
- Able to work in an ISO Class 8 Clean Room environment requiring gowning.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer) required.
- Able to supply own hand tools/rollaway toolbox (i.e., screwdrivers, socket wrenches, etc.).
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to support cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations & Engineering.
- The ability to lift heavy loads. Stand and/or walk more than 90% of the time and perform twisting and turning activities and in a manufacturing/machine shop environment is required.
- Must be able to be On Call for a week every other month as required to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
- Training in machining operations and/or electrical/electronic.
- Clean room experience is a plus.
- The ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Experience with automation, including highly complex mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, PLC, and motion controllers.
