Join Natera as the Director of New Product Development in Oncology and become a key figure in bringing new oncology diagnostic solutions to the market. In this leadership role, you will lead a team of highly talented scientists to develop and launch Natera's next generation oncology diagnostics. Your work with multidisciplinary teams will not only pioneer product advancements but also propel Natera's mission of revolutionizing global healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a collaborative team, overseeing projects from early-stage through the entire product development lifecycle
  • Provide technical expertise in liquid biopsy/cancer detection diagnostics, with understanding of NGS methods for assessing multi-omic-analyte approaches (cfDNA, ctDNA, methylation, etc.).
  • Guide teams in product development and VnV with expert knowledge of industry regulations for IVD and LDT products. Collaborate cross-functionally with research, informatics, software, operations regulatory, quality, clinical, and commercial teams to launch high quality and robust diagnostic products.
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and provide strategic leadership on product and process improvements
  • Communicate effectively and manage expectations with the leadership team
  • Align solutions-driven approach with Natera's momentum in the market to elevate its standing, while maintaining strict adherence to legal and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D/MS/BS in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry or related field
  • Proven track record as a lead in developing and commercializing diagnostic tests (IVD/LDT), specifically in oncology, and ideally with multiple analytes.
  • 5+ years prior experience managing R&D teams.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements in the medical diagnostics field, including FDA regulations and CLIA and CAP standards.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.San Carlos, CA $209,600—$262,000 USD
