Description:

Responsible for commissioning and overseeing the installation of Autostore robotic warehouse automation systems and equipment to work properly and meet the client’s needs.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that equipment works to its specification (configuration, speeds, rates, flow).
  • Creating and carrying out test procedures.
  • Troubleshooting, investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults.
  • Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines.
  • Making improvements to, and offering advice about, operational procedures.
  • Liaising with installation/project engineers.
  • Writing reports and documentation.
  • Providing technical support.
  • Ensuring safe working conditions.
  • Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Years of relevant experience: 2-4 years.
  • Education: Associate’s degree in electrical, mechatronics, or controls engineering.
  • 80% travel, implementing, testing, and debugging their design solution. Occasionally travel to South America or Canada.
  • Applicant must be a good communicator, be poised under pressure, and be able to work directly with end customers.
  • Knowledge of general electrical wiring and networking.
  • Must have good knowledge of PCs and Windows operating system.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid passport.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 51 lbs.
  • Comfortable with heights i.e., ladders, high mezzanines, scissor lifts.
  • Tolerance to perform the job in high temperature i.e., second floor mezzanine in an un-air-conditioned warehouse.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Eye and Face Protection, Respirator).
