Job DescriptionJob Description

TF is recruiting for a full time Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist. This is a full time, direct-hire position with a salary of $95,000 to $100,000 per year with benefits and is a telecommute, home based position.

Qualified candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience with Clinical Documentation, working in CDI or CDS with acute experience, and a valid coding certificate (CCS, RHIT/RHIA), and a CCDS, CDEI, or CDIP certificate.

Job duties will include the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical documentation tasks.. 
  • Follow all coding and clinical documentation improvement guidelines as endorsed by AHIMA and ACDIS. 
  • Review medical records for completeness and accuracy for severity of illness and risk of mortality. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of DRG payer issues, documentation opportunities, and clinical documentation requirements. 
  • Analyze findings and identify potential root causes of produced errors.
