Job Summary:

Industry leading children’s consumer goods company is seeking an experienced Product Manager to maintain several brands and categories in a fast-paced and exciting environment. This individual will work with key internal and external teams to facilitate product development and marketing. The ideal candidate will be a professional team player that will be responsible for day to day managing of key brands while handling multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a timely and strategic manner.

To ensure success as a Product Manager, the ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter and creative problem solver, with a strong work ethic.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of product lines – sales, trends, and profitability. Actively apply insights to all projects and contributions
  • Be an integral part of the creative process from product ideation through production. Manage schedules, costs, and timelines for all brand deliverables
  • Manage all product initiatives from concept to launch/production. Ideal candidate would exhibit strong team and project leadership skills to communicate with and manage cross-functional teams (including product development, Far East team, marketing, packaging, sales, and design) and achieve deliverables.
  • Work within the Product Development/ Brand team, driving the daily communication & development of product lines. Work with internal cross-functional team as well as external partners to deliver against key milestones.
  • Work closely with Licensors and internal teams to ensure that items developed are on brand, price appropriate and financially viable.
  • Responsible for working towards achieving specific brand and sales goals and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain key development documents and systems including product line lists, product presentations, financial documents, and approval systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare for Sales/Marketing events including internal and external sales preview shows and events as well as licensor specific meetings.
  • Manage aspects of marketing & product research for your brands, industry analysis, financials, and marketing efforts.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience required in a related industry.
  • Must have background in production of consumer goods, passion for children’s consumer goods and entertainment preferred.
  • Experienced professional with proven track record in product/brand management and/or development.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong work ethic; self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a larger cross-functional team.
  • Ability to multi-task while staying organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Creative problem solver with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed
