Reports To: Vice President of Finance

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of data analytics and business intelligence operations to drive informed decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and support the organization's strategic objectives. The Director of Business Analytics leads a team of analysts, collaborates with cross-functional departments, and ensures data integrity and actionable insights across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the organization's business analytics strategy to support short- and long-term goals.
  • Lead data-driven decision-making by analyzing large datasets, generating reports, and providing actionable insights across various departments.
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement advanced analytics solutions, predictive models, and business intelligence dashboards to uncover trends and support strategic initiatives.
  • Drive the organization's data governance and integrity practices, ensuring accurate and reliable information for reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business challenges and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Partner with IT and software development teams to optimize data management systems and tools.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on analytics findings, trends, and opportunities.
  • Oversee project timelines and deliverables to ensure efficient execution and alignment with business goals.
  • Ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Job Duties:

  • Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company’s objectives, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, and rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Addressing employee concerns and partnering with HR to resolve escalated employee matters.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Seven to ten years of experience in business analytics, data science, or business intelligence roles, including management responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing data analytics strategies and driving business results.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Proficiency with enterprise data systems and databases.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Excel for analytics purposes.
