Job Description

• Mechanical troubleshooting and diagnosing of industrial equipment.
• Perform 100% mechanical work including troubleshooting of industrial cranes, steel slitters, coating machines, and conveyor lines.
• Handle secondary equipment such as pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, pumps, gears, gearboxes, bearings, and cylinders.
• Perform full diagnosing and preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Correct defective mechanical devices and equipment by disassembling and installing new parts.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality control during emergency breakdowns to restore operation.
• Maintenance on forklifts including changing wheels, greasing parts, and adjusting forks.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Install or move machines around the plant as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have 3-years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Must be able to mechanically troubleshoot industrial equipment as well as pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, motors, and interpret blueprints.
• Must be open to working up to 25ft in the air.
• Must have own set of tools.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

This is a union environment with a direct hire opportunity. The facility operates on three shifts: 6 am to 2 pm, 3 pm to 11 pm, and 10 pm to 6 am. The role includes opportunities for overtime, with a pay rate of $35.72/hr and potential earnings of $140,000 to $160,000 per year with overtime. Overtime is compensated at 1.5x after 8 hours daily, 1.5x on Saturdays, and double time after 12 hours daily and on Sundays. A $0.55 premium is also offered.
