Job Description:

Bay Tech Engineering is seeking a Project Manager for public works projects located in the immediate San Francisco Bay Area. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of projects. Additionally, you will ensure projects meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to estimate labor, materials and other requirements for completion of specific jobs; provides written estimates; negotiate change orders when required
  • Attend pre-construction and progress meetings as needed
  • Reviews with his/her crew those policies, procedures, regulations, and terms of BTE

relative to the day-to-day operation of his/her project

  • Identify, submit and procure materials as needed
  • Responsible for coordinating all activities associated with the timely, accurate, and on-budget completion of projects
  • Responsible for effective and timely communication with prime contractors and stakeholders, including change orders, on-site visits, etc.
  • Keep accurate files and records of project status and activities
  • Reviews job costs for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to, the preparation of invoices, change orders, etc.
  • Maintain awareness regarding potential claims, back charges, or large costs that may affect project completion and/or project profitability

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5± years experience working in the electrical/construction industry
  • Ability to review and interpret construction documents
  • Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in the installation of electrical related equipment
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Computer Skills Including Bluebeam, AutoCAD
  • Process and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of difficult tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills
  • Valid CA drivers license and DMV record that meets BTE driving standards
  • Possess the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Be able to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

We are an electrical and general engineering contractor whose primary focus is on commercial and industrial projects, water/wastewater, motive power, traffic signal, and street lighting infrastructure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
