Job DescriptionJob Description

Perform precision assembly, testing, and maintenance of electro-optic cables, fiber optics, and electro-mechanical components for sub-surface communications.

Job Requirements:
  • Two-year post-secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience or technical school training.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in electronics manufacturing (if no degree).
  • Experience with sub-surface communication optical cables, potting, fiber optics, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with precision tools such as fiber cleavers, polishing machines, and electronic testing fixtures.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually.
Preferred Skills:
  • Expertise in fiber optic splicing, soldering, and potting.
  • Knowledge of ESD compliance and calibrated equipment audits.
  • Familiarity with adhesives, mechanical components, and testing tools.
  • Experience with hydrostatic-pressure and Hi-Pot testing.
  • Understanding of electrical/electronic components like PC boards, diodes, capacitors, and resistors.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform fiber optic splicing, soldering, and assembly of mechanical and electronic components.
  • Conduct testing including hydrostatic-pressure and Hi-Pot evaluations.
  • Adjust and assemble components using hand tools and precision measuring devices.
  • Handle, inspect, and prepare optical components and assemblies.
  • Maintain production schedules and provide input for tooling and equipment needs.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain tool and equipment audits.

This role involves technical assembly and testing, supporting production efficiency, and collaborating on high-quality manufacturing processes.



Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
