The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient allocation and utilization of company equipment. This role involves monitoring equipment levels, managing equipment movement, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize equipment performance. This is a Contract Opportunity located in Lombard, IL.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize equipment utilization.
  • Allocate equipment to meet customer demand and operational requirements.
  • Monitor equipment levels and identify potential shortages or surpluses.
  • Coordinate the movement of equipment between terminals, depots, and customer locations.
  • Work with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient equipment delivery.
  • Track equipment movement and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor equipment condition and schedule maintenance as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address equipment issues promptly.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment utilization and efficiency.
  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with equipment vendors, including depots, truckers, and terminals.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with vendors to optimize costs.

Qualifications:
  • 1 plus year of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in intermodal or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of equipment types and their applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  Job Details:
  • Contract
  • Monday- Friday
  • Pay is $18-$20 an hour depending on experience

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
