Job DescriptionJob Description

We are currently hiring for Industrial Painters in Richmond, VA. The ideal Industrial Painter candidate has at least 2 years experience painting in an industrial setting and is comfortable with local travel. There is a per diem for local travel to be discussed. Pay is $22 - $26/hour based on skill set and experience.

Industrial Painter Responsibilities:

  • Spray machine surfaces, manufactured products, working areas etc. with protective material (paint, enamel, glaze, lacquer, etc.) using a spray gun
  • Load and move materials to work areas, fills containers with paint and thinners
  • Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted with solvent, sandpaper, and scraper
  • Clean grease and dirt from product using lacquer thinner, soap and water, phosphatizing machine
  • Apply masking tape over areas and parts not to be coated
  • Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface
  • Keep paint area and equipment clean
  • Sand primer/putty fillers with air sanders (blasting) to obtain a smooth finish

Industrial Painter Qualifications:

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Move over rough/uneven ground
  • Comfortable with climbing and being at heights including narrow spaces 6+ feet
  • Lift, pull and push 50+ pounds
  • Able to travel locally as needed
  • Your own reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22 - $26/hour Weekly pay

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday through Friday
  • Day Shift
