Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with experience in developing complex applications for the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our applications, which includes features such as patient onboard tracking, financial tracking, treatment planning, healthcare protocol management, AI-assisted data analysis, and more. We will be developing systems for internal tracking for our own team as well as client-focused applications for their own clinic and patient management.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable software solutions that integrate with existing medical record systems, proprietary patient tracking metrics, and financial data.

  • Implement robust backend logic for tracking patient onboarding funnels, clinic and patient financials, and creating integrated local LLM AI models.

  • Develop database strategies for our repository of treatment and protocol data.

  • Design user-friendly front-end systems that can be utilized by 100+ practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and other engineering disciplines to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes to maintain high-quality software standards.

  • Conduct performance optimization and security assessments for the application.

  • Implement data migration and synchronization logic to import existing financial and patient records from various sources.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in developing complex web applications, particularly within the healthcare industry.

  • Proficiency with full-stack development technologies including Python, Go, JavaScript, or HTMX.

  • Strong understanding of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

  • Comfort with various API integrations.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for deployment and scalability.

  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, data encryption, and compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.

  • Familiarity with frameworks to integrate AI models into the applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with health informatics standards such as HL7 or FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources).

  • Knowledge of financial software integration techniques, particularly in healthcare settings.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

  • Ability to self-manage individual tasks while being comfortable receiving direction and correction from others.
