Kitchen Supervisor - A Cooking Role
American Accord Food Corp is seeking a dedicated, hands-on, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This role involves not only managing kitchen operations but actively participating in food preparation and assisting with various aspects of our daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong kitchen supervision experience, excellent cooking skills, and a proactive approach to supporting the team and ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and foster a team-oriented environment while ensuring adherence to food safety and company standards.
  2. Active Food Preparation: Work alongside the team in cooking and preparing meals, paying attention to portion control, recipes, and dietary requirements.
  3. Engagement in Cooking: Be actively involved in cooking tasks during busy periods or as needed, ensuring the quality of food remains exceptional.
  4. Inventory & Supplies: Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
  5. Scheduling: Coordinate and optimize kitchen staff schedules for effective coverage during shifts.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure that every meal prepared meets the company’s high standards and client expectations.
  7. Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  8. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the proper use, cleaning, and upkeep of kitchen equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
  9. Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with operational needs, including filling gas in fleet vehicles, organizing supplies, and troubleshooting day-to-day challenges to keep operations running smoothly.
  10. Custom Menus: Collaborate with staff to create and execute meals tailored to specific dietary preferences and requirements.
  11. Operational Support: Provide hands-on support in all aspects of the company's food delivery operations, ensuring efficiency and quality across the board.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen operations, including supervisory and cooking roles.
  • Strong cooking skills and familiarity with diverse cuisines.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification (required).
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to motivate and direct a team.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to assist with non-kitchen operational tasks as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality food.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining kitchen equipment.
