Oral and Facial Surgery of the Shoals is seeking a skilled, full-time Front Office Assistant to join our team and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients at our Florence location. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Dental office setting and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Check patients in for their surgical procedures.
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments.
  • Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
  • Collect and post payments.
  • Assist with patient paperwork and medical history.
  • Manage patient records and files.
  • Prepare information and documents needed for the following day.
  • Communicate with clinical staff members.
  • Enjoy interacting with patients and working in a team environment.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical or dental office setting (Oral Surgery preferred).
  • 1+ years of administration assistant or receptionist experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain accurate at all times.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
