National Auto Finance company is seeking a Collection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will monitor accounts to identify outstanding payments and communicate with clients regarding the collection of those funds. The ideal candidate has excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with limited supervision and proficient in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Review accounts to discover overdue payments
- Research client information and historical data on accounts
- Communicate with clients regarding overdue accounts
- Contact past due customers via telephone for payment arrangements
- Maintain accurate documentation of account status and collection efforts
- Report on collection activity and present to management
- High school diploma/GED required
- Previous experience as a Collection Specialist or in a similar position
- Understanding of collection techniques
- Knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and computer databases
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Background in collecting automobile finance receivables
