Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is a brand-new team but was founded by a team of well-funded career telecom and construction professionals. We look to leverage the latest technologies, best in industry equipment, and up-to-date construction and safety practices to build a first-class fiber optic utility construction firm in multiple markets throughout the US.

We need skilled CDL Driver/ Laborers who are local to the Reno, NV area. This position will report to the Director of Operations and represents an opportunity to join an awesome team on the ground floor, learn a lot, and have a ton of fun as GRC grows

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Construction Specialist with CDL A is responsible for general laborer duties and support on construction sites
  • Use various equipment, hand and power tools
  • Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines
  • Remove, fill or compact earth
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standards.
  • Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
  • Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
  • Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
  • Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
  • May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Driving heavy equipment/hauling materials, requires a CDL A License

Experience:

  • Commercial driving and/or heavy equipment operation (>1 year)

License/Certification:

  • CDL A (Required)

  • A valid driver's license is required for all positions.
