Posted Job Title Outpatient Internal Medicine Nurse- Penn Vet Job Profile Title Veterinary Technician D Job Description Summary We're hiring a Veterinary Nurse for our outpatient internal medicine clinic, responsible for various tasks including sample collection, client communication, medication refills, and procedure assistance. The role involves cross-training in I131 procedures and contributing to isolation and inpatient medical treatment areas, with participation in holiday schedules and isolation ward duties. Job Description We're are seeking a talented and passionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team at the outpatient internal medicine clinic. Your duties will encompass various aspects of clinic operations, such as sample collection/submission, client interaction, medication management, procedure assistance, patient transportation, and other assigned tasks. Additionally, as part of the internal medicine team, you'll be responsible for administering sedation and overseeing patient monitoring during diagnostic procedures. You'll also receive cross-training in I131 procedures to provide backup assistance when needed. In addition, you'll play a vital role in supporting isolation and inpatient medical treatment areas, including participating in holiday schedules and fulfilling isolation ward duties. Qualifications Must have at least 2 years of experience working with hospitalized small animals. Veterinary Technician A: CVT or board eligible--must sit for boards within 3 months of hire. Veterinary Technician B: CVT and 2-3 years of experience Veterinary Technician C: CVT and 3-5 years of experience Veterinary Technician D: CVT and 5-8 years of experience Veterinary Technician E: CVT and 8 + years of experience Minimum starting salaries increase with each level. Relevant education, experience, skills, and licenses/ certifications are among the factors considered in salary offers. This position is eligible for a sign-on incentive of $1,000.
