Duties
As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as a senior advisor to the Director of the Defense Support Services Center on all matters related to increasing employment and accommodation services of persons with disabilities and wounded Service members. Maintains an equitable, suitable, and functional Federal work environment commensurate with the disability.Serves as the DoD representative at the senior management level specializing in the area of technology, assistive technology and accommodations for people with disabilities. Sponsors demonstrations of accommodations for people with disabilities. Promotes and publicizes the CAP to the industry that develops accommodations, to the hardware and software standardization community, and to special interest groups.Serves as DoD representative for the DSSC and principal advisor at various senior Federal task force committees, such as the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), on employment, diversity and inclusion. Serves as the Department's principal interface with other Federal Agencies, industry, research and development activities and standards organizations committed to supporting increased employment opportunities for people with disabilities.Formulates policy, programs, and procedures for worldwide advancement of computer, telecommunications, and other electronic accommodations for individuals within the DoD, who must be given the opportunity to become productive employees given the proper equipment to accomplish their jobs. Develops business plans, establishes performance metrics, and evaluates risk in support of the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act. Reviews, assesses, and reports on the effectiveness of management controls and program performance against program objectives.Oversees the operations and activities of the CAP Technology Evaluation Center (CAPTEC), Pentagon RM, 2D1049. Maintains an inventory of state-of-the-art assistive technology and devices to assist supervisors and employees in selecting the appropriate accommodation solutions for creating an accessible work environment. Evaluates equipment and associated services, conducts needs assessments for disabled employees, and demonstrations for supervisors of employees with disabilities, political appointees and leaders.*Plans and implements the expansion of CAP services to include on-site evaluations of information technology requirements at DoD agencies that participate in the Workforce Recruitment Program for Students with Disabilities and other student internship programs recognized by DoD or OPM. Also provides assistive technology and services to DoD military treatment facilities and schools for exceptional family members.As an expert in the arena of assistive technology, devices and other electronic accommodations, evaluates legislative initiatives and other proposed changes to the law or regulations for their impact on the CAP in the Federal workplace. Specifically, analyzes program's efficiency, effectiveness, and level of contribution toward the accomplishment of hiring and retention goals for persons with disabilities, disabled veterans and wounded Service members.Plans and executes the CAP budgetary program. This includes acquisition management of operational funds and execution of funds for multiple contracts and services. You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Planning and executing a program to include multi-million dollar budget, as well as manage and lead both civilians and contract support.Proficiency operating in leading and managing a team which serves in a customer service role.Serving as a representative at the senior management level interfacing with Senior Executive leaders.Please keep your résumé to a reasonable length.
