Funciones Esenciales

  • Participar en dos o más semanas de formación teórica y práctica con habilidades básicas de soldadura de producción, incluyendo lectura de planos, seguridad en el taller, técnica de soldadura y calidad de la soldadura.
  • Unir o soldar componentes estructurales de metal mediante soldadura por arco en la fabricación de postes eléctricos de acero, subestaciones y otras estructuras.
  • Realizar operaciones de soldadura que requieran una cantidad limitada de planificación a partir de planos u otras especificaciones escritas, y determinar la secuencia de operación.
  • Utilizar todos los dispositivos de seguridad y llevar todo el equipo de protección personal obligatorio.
  • Ajustar el equipo de soldadura a sus configuraciones prescritas.
  • Mantener y operar herramientas de producción y accesorios, así como todo el equipo de soldadura de manera segura.
  • Leer y completar el sistema de informes laborales, formularios estándar del taller y planos.
  • Realizar mantenimiento de las máquinas de soldadura (por ejemplo, boquillas, revestimientos, copas de gas).
  • Utilizar el sistema de informes laborales, formularios de taller de ruta y completar etiquetas de movimiento.

Otros Detalles Importantes sobre esta Posición:

  • Los candidatos que completen satisfactoriamente el programa de formación de soldadores, incluidos los requisitos de asistencia, participación y desempeño, serán elegibles para un puesto de soldadura.
  • Los candidatos que no completen satisfactoriamente el programa de formación de soldadores debido a requisitos de rendimiento no cumplidos podrían ser elegibles para recibir más formación o la oportunidad de unirse al equipo de Valmont en un puesto que no sea soldadura.
  • También se puede pedir a los candidatos que se inscriban en cursos de soldadura en un colegio comunitario local, con los gastos pagados, para ampliar su formación y desarrollo.

  • La capacidad de trabajar en un entorno de alto volumen y ritmo rápido
  • La capacidad de completar una evaluación de soldadura
  • La capacidad de trabajar más de diez horas a la semana en horas extras cuando sea necesario por necesidades comerciales

  • Diploma de Escuela Secundaria o equivalente a GED
  • Un año de experiencia previa en un entorno de fabricación o manufactura
  • Certificación de soldadura de la American Welding Society (AWS)
