Job Title: Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT)

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of one year required; critical care experience preferred

License: Must provide evidence of a valid license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner

Certifications: Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); BLS from the AHA required upon hire

Must-Have:
- Must be able to work well with patients, physicians, and co-workers
- Familiarity with hospital ethics and protocols, departmental procedures and policies

Job Description:
- Perform all respiratory care procedures and protocols, including CPAP/BiPAP, chest physiotherapy, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry, ventilator management, and pulmonary screens
- Utilize hemodynamic monitoring and pulse oximetry, as well as set up and use a variety of monitoring systems
- Participate in areas such as pulmonary function testing, endoscopy, etc., based on interest and departmental needs
- Engage in departmental education, performance improvement programs, new projects, and initiatives as directed
- Adhere to departmental quality, productivity, and performance standards
- Contribute input into annual capital equipment and operations budgets, as requested
- Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalency mandatory; completion of minimum two years of college education, including Associate or Bachelor degree, is preferred
