Accounts Payable Specialist
Our client in Seymour, CT is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Overview of the Accounts Payable role:
- The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accurately process and verify invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining our commitment to excellence.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to uphold our high standards of financial integrity.
- Manage the payment cycle with precision, including preparing checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, building strong relationships with our trusted partners.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation of all AP transactions, supporting our mission of transparency and accountability.
- The Accounts Payable Specialist will collaborate with internal departments to swiftly address invoice or payment issues, fostering a spirit of teamwork.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including 1099 preparation and reporting, as part of our commitment to ethical practices.
- Support audits by preparing and organizing documentation, showcasing our dedication to excellence and compliance.
- Innovate and enhance AP processes, playing a key role in driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable role:
- Prior Accounts Payable experience
- Ideally has 3 way match experience
