*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to patients with various conditions, focusing on enhancing their ability to perform daily activities and improving their overall quality of life. This role involves working in diverse settings including clinics, inpatient facilities, and home health environments, with a particular emphasis on individualized care for patients, including those with autism.
*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients‘ needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
* Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients‘ physical, emotional, and cognitive functions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care and effective discharge planning.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment processes and expected outcomes.
* Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform therapy practices and adapt interventions as necessary.
* Work with patients in various settings including ICU, inpatient facilities, clinics, and home health environments.
* Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
*Requirements*
* Master‘s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to occupational therapy practices.
* Experience or familiarity with discharge planning processes.
* Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum.
* Previous experience in ICU or inpatient settings is preferred but not mandatory.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Compassionate approach towards patient care with a strong commitment to improving quality of life.
