Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve their maximum potential in daily activities. You will work with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities, in various settings such as clinics and acute care facilities.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective case management and discharge planning.
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies for continued progress.
Document patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Provide support in various settings including ICU, outpatient clinics, and rehabilitation facilities.
Skills
Strong background in patient care with a focus on rehabilitation techniques.
Experience working with pediatric populations as well as geriatrics.
Proficient in developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Knowledge of discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
Ability to manage cases effectively while coordinating with other healthcare professionals.
Experience in acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
