We consider our team like a family, not just co-workers.Career Growth:You have the opportunity to go beyond licensure and employment requirements and become nationally certified.Job SummaryThe Scheduling Specialist is responsible for answering Centralized Scheduling phones to accept outpatient diagnostic orders from physicians for hospital departments; interprets physician request for diagnostic test and schedules single to multiple tests according to required patient care protocols.Determines medical necessity validation and handles medical information along with transpiring medical orders into the health information system.Education and/or ExperienceGraduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.Licensure/Certification/RegistrationLicensed as a LPN in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.3-5 years hospital, medical office, clinic, or hospital business operations experience required.Work ScheduleVaried Shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm; 72hrs/2wksPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
