Job Summary:
The Corporate Accountant will play a key role in managing our financial operations, supporting our client's real estate transactions, and driving sound financial decision-making. This position requires a hands-on professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and can excel in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance for multiple entities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.
- Real Estate Transactions: Assist with accounting for property acquisitions, sales, and lease agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Payroll & Compliance: Process payroll, manage tax filings, and ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline accounting processes and systems.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Provide support on special projects, analyses, and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
- Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate financial principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude.
