Duties
As a Human Resources Officer, you will:
Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive personnel management program designed to meet the unique requirements of the United StatesMint.Provide administrative and technical oversight of day-to-day Human Resources operations and ensure consistency and coordination of those activities with other programs within the United States Mint field facilities and headquarters as well. Independently of, or jointly with higher management, determine program goals and objectives, determine program emphasis and operating guidelines, and develop operating plans for the organization. Coordinate program efforts with other internal activities and with the activities of headquarters and other agencies.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAll employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:Performing a variety of human resources functions, using concepts, principles, laws, regulations and practices including, but not limited to compensation, performance management, classification, employee/labor relations, employee development, staffing and recruitment, position management; ANDDeveloping, interpreting and/or advising senior management on human resources policies and administration; ANDProviding recommendations and solutions to management officials, along with planning, developing and managing work of subordinates.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
