Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford's 100 years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On's 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world's best battery manufacturer.
TheTranslatorat BlueOval SK will have an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- The Translator will be responsible for supporting basic translation of Korean and English languages for all team members of BlueOval SK. This includes employees who are assigned to the project from parent companies, Ford and SK On as "Secondees".
Translation Responsibilities
- Designs proposed output formats and monitors output for information accuracy.
- Translates spoken and/or written materials from one language to another.
- Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials.
- Records and/or transcribes minutes of meetings, hearings, dictation, dialogue, etc., and produces document in draft or final format.
- Reviews and/or inspects work for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Enters data into a computer system and retrieves, corrects, or deletes previously entered data.
- Translate communications clearly and accurately, conveying phrasing and intention as it relates to the subject
- Convert dialogue and convey the intent of the original speaker
Typical Qualifications
- Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
- Familiarity with using the internet for research tasks
- At least 1 year of administrative assistant or relocation experience preferred
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize and effectively manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information:
- Employment for this position will be through a joint venture (formed by Ford Motor Company and SK On)
- Must be willing to travel.
- This position will require work to be completed remotely, but may require in-person activities and travel as we build the plant and the facilities.
