Job Summary:The Senior Scientist/Technician, located at the Client's facility, will be a key member of the Measurement Sciences (Analytical & QA Sciences) team. This role is responsible for conducting biopolymer-associated compound analyses, focusing on dietary fiber, beta-glucan, protein, and oil testing to support Client's operations. Core duties include sample preparation, accurate data collection, analysis, and maintenance of laboratory standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with test requestors and managers to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary chemicals, solutions, and equipment for analyses.
  • Process samples into analysis-ready forms (e.g., milling).
  • Utilize standard operating procedures to assess dietary fiber, beta-glucan, protein, ash, fat, and moisture content.
  • Record and report data using laboratory information management systems accurately and promptly.
  • Regularly organize and discard samples as per guidelines.
  • Adhere to Good Lab Practices (GLP) to ensure laboratory safety, optimal instrument performance, and data quality.
  • Support laboratory operations, including safety audits.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Material Science, or a related field, with 2+ years of laboratory experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of food nutrients such as fiber, beta-glucan, protein, and oil.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver precise results within set timelines.
  • Strong organizational skills for accurate record-keeping and data management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC or IC.
  • Familiarity with Good Lab Practices and hazardous chemical handling.
  • Proficiency in data recording systems (e.g., LabVantage).

Education: Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree
