Job Description

The Set Up Technician will be responsible for machine set-up and operation to meet product requirements, troubleshooting equipment and packaging issues, performing quality checks, and documenting issues along with basic repairs. The technician will conduct trial runs, monitor machine workflow, and pack finished goods. They will work closely with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot converting machines and perform preventive maintenance on auxiliary equipment. Additionally, they will cover for operators during breaks or cleaning periods.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machines to meet product requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and packaging issues.
  • Perform quality checks and document issues and repairs.
  • Conduct trial runs and monitor machine workflow.
  • Pack finished goods to assist IOs.
  • Work alongside the Maintenance team to troubleshoot converting machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on auxiliary equipment.
  • Cover for operators during breaks or cleaning periods.
Essential Skills
  • 1-2 years of machine set-up or PM tech experience.
  • 1 year of experience with hand tools and basic mechanical repairs.
  • 1 year of product inspection experience.
  • Experience in machine troubleshooting and basic repairs.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, and standing all day.
  • Ability to read a ruler up to 1/32 of an inch.
  • 1 year of documentation experience, including quality issue reporting and machine downtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2 years of set-up/PM experience on converting, slitter, extrusion machines (FMC or CMD brand).
  • Bag/pouch production experience.
  • Experience in a packaging environment.
  • Experience assisting the Maintenance team with machine breakdowns or repairs.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $42000.00

Quarterly Bonus – Up to 5%
