Job Title: Bookkeeper (Construction Industry)

Location: Nashville, TN (south metro area)

About Us:
LHH has partnered with an extremely established and growing commercial construction firm committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the accounting team and support growing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable (Foundation).

  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with labor regulations.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management.

  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.

  • Collaborate with project managers to track job costs and budgets.

  • Assist with audits and tax preparation as needed.

  • Support CF) & Controller with specialist projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Preferred: 5+ years of bookkeeping experience.

  • Proficiency in construction ERP software (e.g., Procore, Vista, BuilderTrend, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and job costing.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Certifications:

  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or equivalent certification preferred - not required.

  • Familiarity with construction accounting certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional - CCIFP) is advantageous.
