Position Overview:
We areseeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team and provide essential services to our students. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work in an engaging educational setting, helping students improve their physical abilities and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students physical needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students in one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students physical development.
- Monitor and document students progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of physical goals for students.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students physical health and mobility.
- Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy and engage in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Connecticut state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A mitment to providing high-quality, student-centered care.
