We are offering a short-term, part-time contract employment opportunity for a Front Desk Coordinator in Harrisonville, Missouri, for 5+ weeks. Working Tuesday and Wednesday, 8am-5pm. The primary function of this role will be to ensure smooth operations within a busy dental clinic, with a focus on managing patient records and interactions. The workplace environment is fast-paced and requires a candidate with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Practice Manager to manage the patient population.

• Accurately input patient and insurance information into dental software.

• Schedule appointments for dental services and verify patient’s insurance eligibility on the appointment day.

• Check patient service history and document it precisely in patient records.

• Reinforce proposed dental treatment and schedule appointments based on the dentist’s treatment plan.

• Monitor recall appointment reminders, make confirmation calls, and oversee patient appointment status and history.

• Update patient records accurately, including name spelling, addresses, DOB, demographic and insurance information.

• Ensure all patient paperwork is completed and promptly scanned into the patient chart.

• Collect patient payments at the time of service and maintain a balanced cash drawer.

• Oversee inventory of office supplies and replace outdated products as necessary.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the front office, entryway, waiting area, and lobby restroom.

• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA & CDC standards.

• Translate for other staff members when language assistance is needed.

• Recognize emergency situations and follow established emergency protocols.

• Proven experience in Administrative Assistance
• Proficiency in Answering Multi-Line Phone System
• Experience with Concierge Services
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in using Microsoft Outlook
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Ability to manage and Organize Files efficiently
