We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and make a significant difference in students' lives.

Position Overview:
  • Start Date: ASAP June 13th
  • Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Caseload: 35-40 elementary students
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct re-evaluations for students within your caseload.
  • Collaborate with an on-site SLP on initial evaluations.
  • Create and manage a therapy schedule effectively.
  • Attend conferences and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Work with special education staff to design effective therapy plans.

Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a Wisconsin DPI-issued Speech-Language Pathologist license for the 2024-2025 school year. Bilingual abilities and prior experience in educational settings are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Perform thorough evaluations of students' speech and language skills, and create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy goals tailored to individual needs.
  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver speech-language therapy, focusing on articulation, language development, and communication strategies that foster academic success.
  • Collaboration: Partner with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech-language strategies into classroom routines. Attend IEP meetings and suggest appropriate communication supports and modifications.
  • Documentation: Keep precise and comprehensive records of student progress, therapy plans, and session notes. Prepare necessary reports for IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Professional Development: Remain up-to-date with the latest best practices in speech-language pathology and special education, engaging in continuous training and professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to acquire one.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Background in a school setting or working with children with diverse needs is preferred; familiarity with IEP development is advantageous.
  • Skills: Proficient in speech-language therapy techniques, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
